Our consistent Arts and Crafts décor is appealing to both men and women in that it feels more like a lodge. A stay at Lake Pointe Inn is the perfect preview to visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright properties, Kentuck Knob and Fallingwater – in the Laurel Highlands – just 50 miles away.
Lake Pointe Inn offers all the comforts of a fine lodge with award winning appointments in the Arts and Crafts tradition. Below are a few sites that we find great inspiration from in relation to the Arts and Crafts movement:
“The owners are devoted to the arts and craft style that defines not only the architecture of the Inn but also the décor. In fact, if you weren’t already familiar with this movement, also referred to as Mission style, before you came to the Inn, you will be by the time you leave thanks to the abundant coffee table books available in the Great Room. This style, with its simple lines, natural materials, porches, sun-filled rooms, not only strove to bring nature into the dwelling but also was believed to contribute to physical and psychological health. No wonder my stay at the Inn felt so serene.”
