A cool, boutique Deep Creek Lake hotel that has more of a cozy Bed and Breakfast feel to it. Owners and staff are super. Many little touches have you feel more like a friend or relative from out of town versus a couple on a romantic getaway. Forgot your readers? This hotel has some. Want a book or game or puzzle? same story. A blend of modern amenities and check-in procedures with a charming old home to boot. The rooms are spacious. We stayed in Buffalo Marsh - roomy and comfy. Beds are very comfortable as are the beddings and towels. We enjoyed Maryland's Swallow Falls State Park in the McHenry vicinity and hiked the 1.5 miles loop and saw a few falls while enjoying the Hemlock Trees - over 300 years. Scott went out of his way to make our stay at this Deep Creek Lake Hotel memorable. He has a keen sense of humor and is second to none when it comes to being an outstanding host! If back in McHenry MD, this will be our hotel to stay in; it is tops in every way!"
