While you and your furry friend are staying with us in Deep Creek Lake, there are plenty of things to do and places to explore with your pet by your side. The trails at Deep Creek Lake State Park and Herrington Manor State Park are Pet friendly and offer a fantastic place to get out and stretch your four-legged friends. Fork Run Recreation Area is another great place to get outside and enjoy a hike with your dog. It’s located just on the other side of Wisp Mountain Resort, which means it’s easy to access from our Deep Creek Lake hotel!

If you want to take your dog and enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in the area, head to Swallow Falls State Park – another pet-friendly spot to enjoy near our Deep Creek Lake Hotel. Swallow Falls State Park is home to the tallest freestanding waterfall in Maryland, and the short, easy-access trail is perfect for people and pets of all ages.

If you’re looking for even more ways to have fun with your pet on vacation in Deep Creek Lake, head to the stunning Garrett State Forest, home to more than 7,000 acres of beautiful forested land.

While you’re in town, you may also be interested in finding pet-friendly places to take your furry friends for a quick bite to eat or a drink after that exhilarating hike. Pets are welcome outside at places like Trader’s Coffee, Dutch’s Restaurant, and Mountain State Brewing Company.
