My husband and I just returned from a 3-night romantic getaway at Lake Pointe Inn in Maryland's Deep Creek Lake, and we have to say this is THE best lodging experience we have had! Everything about this hotel far exceeded our expectations. This 5-star hotel is spotless, beautiful, full of amenities, and breakfast was delicious (as were the ever-present snacks, like fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and afternoon hors d'oeuvres!). We stayed in the Garrett Room, which was recently repainted and rearranged. It looks even better than the picture on the website! All rooms have private, in-room bathrooms, which was one thing that wasn't clear on their website. There is also no outdoor hot tub right now due to a local zoning issue. Not a big deal for us, but the website says they have one. There are a few things to see and do within a short drive, but not an overabundance. All in all, Lake Pointe Inn is the perfect Deep Creek Lake hotel in which to RELAX!"
