Savage Room

We stayed at Lake Pointe Inn 10 years ago for a belated romantic honeymoon getaway, and we just returned to this amazing Deep Creek Lake hotel for our 10-year anniversary. New ownership, and they made our second stay even better! We stayed in the Savage Room and boy was it worth it. Gorgeous views of the lake, fall foliage, and romantic, luxurious accommodations. We stayed in our room most of the time, except for venturing out for a hike around Deep Creek Lake, lunch/dinner, or a cup of tea or coffee downstairs. The room was huge, with a large sleeping area and gas fireplace, a separate living area surrounded by lakefront windows, and a massive jet bath/shower combo and a powder room. We loved the balcony which had just enough room to enjoy a cup of coffee or wine in cozy chairs snuggled up in our bathrobes. The staff is very nice but not overbearing, which suits couples on a romantic getaway They had snacks and wine every afternoon. All day they had fresh chocolate chip cookies, pour-over and French press coffee, and loose-leaf tea. Every floor has a beverage/snack station with water, soda, and popcorn. They also have an honor bar downstairs where you can pick up other beverages if you want, but we just grabbed some local stuff at one of the beverage shops nearby. We didn't use the sauna or steam shower, but it's still there! So are plenty of books, board games, and gorgeous outdoor seating on the wraparound porch and lawn. Perfect weekend! We'll definitely be back to this hotel on Deep Creek Lake and hopefully sooner than for our 20th-anniversary getaway!"
