- The Deep Creek Lake area has become a popular antiquing destination. The best place to head is Oakland, MD, to hunt for treasures and explore history one item at a time.
- There are two historic Frank Llyod Wright designs, Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, within an hour of our Deep Creek Lake Resort. These iconic homes are well worth the scenic road trip, and touring the Fallingwater property is an unforgettable experience.
- Spring is a great time to get in a round of golf at one of the nearby courses. Wisp Resort offers two fantastic golf courses with beautiful vistas and challenging holes.
- Swallow Falls State Park is a favorite in the area, and with the snow melt in full effect, the 54-foot Muddy Falls (the highest free-falling waterfall in Maryland) will be most impressive in the spring.
- Spend a cozy evening out by the fire pit with stunning views of Deep Creek Lake in all its glory at sunset. There will be homemade s’mores available and adult beverages and lively converstaions are encouraged.
